We provide support to people living in the district of Musoma in Tanzania. We offer a volunteering opportunity for people to use their skills to make a positive difference, by working with the local people. We also promote Christian faith in action.

Story

In September 2012 I will be climbing 5895m to the top or the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.  I am raising money for Go MAD in Tanzania where we will be able to support some amazing community projects in Musoma, on the edge of Lake Victoria in Northern Tanzania.

Go MAD sends teams primarily of young people to take part in projects in partnership with the local community and the Anglican Diocese. The money raised will go towards these projects;

- Clean rain water storage tanks to supply safe drinking water for village communities; directly reducing the mortality rate in villages.

- HIV/AIDS awareness street drama work and support for sufferers,

- Farming co-operatives to help feed villages and create employment opportunities,

- Community health education projects about malaria and diahorrea prevention (the two biggest killers for children in Sub Saharan Africa says the WHO) amongst other areas.

- Many more smaller projects in the region.

So far I have run the Reading Half Marathon and climbed Snowdon in training for this feat!

All the money raised here goes directly to Go MAD (I am paying for my flights etc).

Please dig deep and give as much as you can, as the more money I can raise the more lives we can save, it's as simple as that!
