Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the London Marathon this year (Hopefully!)
I've never really run very far before - in fact, I think I've probably run a total of about 20 miles in my life (including running for buses, trains etc). But I've taken on this challenge in order to fulfil an ambition and raise some valuable money for a very worthwhile charity. In training so far, I've covered about 150 miles and have about another 350 miles still to go and I'm quite scared about running the 26 all in one go!
Whilst I knew something of Scope, I hadn't realised the range of different areas that they have an impact upon - this includes supporting children deal with their disabilities at home and at school, running safe homes for adults, helping to improve access to work and government lobbying. I'm proud to be running the London Marathon to support them and would ask you to donate whatever you can to support their work.
Also - if you're free on the day (London, 26th April 09), then it would be great to hear your encouragement!
