Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. I'm 38 and want to prove to my children that I'm not over the hill yet despite what they think! So I'm testing my stamina by running the Flora London Marathon for the first time this year and hope to raise loads of money at the same time!!

I decided to support my local children's hospice at Ipswich (part of EACH) because they are an incredibly deserving cause. The hospice services supports local families throughout their experience of caring for children with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses.

In 2007/08 it will cost around £4million to run the charity (EACH also have hospices in Cambridge and Quidenham in Norfolk) and with only approximately 12% of this funding coming from the NHS, voluntary income is absolutely vital.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: East Anglia's Children's Hospices will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
