AND ITS NOT A PUB CRAWL!
I also laughed at the idea, its utter madness. However, it’s for an amazing cause so I’m up for the challenge.
As you may already know, I’m heavily involved in coaching Chelsea F.C.’s Disabled Footballers. They are a fantastic bunch with a whole range of issues that they overcome by playing football.
Being involved in our group, the players overcome Deafness, Visual impairment, Cerebral Palsy and a host of other difficulties to play football.
It’s a real privilege to work with them.
So if they can conquer their disabilities I’m going to conquer mine…..drinking/eating to much, being overweight, totally unfit and some might say…..old. (I know you all disagree!!)
I’ve agreed to run the “runtothebeat” half marathon on Oct 5 around London. If you can spare a couple of coins the players, most of which are from deprived backgrounds, would be extremely grateful.
All proceed are going to The Limbless Association who manage the
Football + project on behalf of Chelsea F.C.
The diet starts today so I can fit into my training gear!!!
