BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Hey Guys, thanks for taking the time to visit my page

In September I will be runing the Great North Run from Newcastle to South Shields and over the next few months my doughy physique will be put through its paces so to avoid any embarrasment on the streets of the Toon....

Im running in aid of Motor Neurone Disease, which is one of the worst diseases around - imagine a healthy and alert mind, trapped in a body that can't move.

MND stops the brain sending signals to the muscles, making moving, speaking and swallowing increasing difficult.

MND is fatal and there is no known cure, so please dig deep and donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure - your details are safe and you won't get spammed. Once you donate, your money is sent directly to the charity and Gift Aid is automatically reclaimed from the government if you pay tax.

So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
