Im running for ESSA, The English Schools Swimming Association. Its a great charity that doesnt get the recognition it deserves so hopefully I can help promote awareness of it. ESSA  originally organised swimming and diving championships in England with water polo and synchronised swimming adding to it. I work for a catering company providing fresh, nutritionally balanced meals for children and am amazed at the amount of schools that dont have a pool these days compared to when I was at school. Some of the children I work with and talk to would love the opportunity to swim but is unavailable to them.

My personnel aims for this is to lose weight (currently 18st 6lb and as you can see from my photo a little chubby!) to help live a healthier lifestyle, i'd like to run it under 4 1/2 hrs as I ran it for the first time 11 years ago in 4hrs 45 min so would like to prove to myself that with the right mindset you can achieve anything. And once i've done it i'll keep on running to keep fit.
