Together for Short Lives is the leading UK charity for all children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and all those who support, love and care for them. They support families, professionals and services, including children’s hospices. Their work helps to ensure that children can get the best possible care, wherever and whenever they need it.

What is a children’s hospice?
Children’s hospices services are dedicated to improving the quality of life of children with a life-limiting condition. They provide flexible, practical and free support at home and in the hospice to the entire family from the moment of diagnosis and for as long as it is needed. This care is often over many years and at any stage of the child’s illness. Care includes:
•    Short breaks and daytime activities enabling families to get a rest
•    Help with the control of pain or other distressing symptoms
•    Support for the whole family, including brothers and sisters bereavement support
•    A range of support including music, art and complimentary therapies.
Children’s hospices are specifically designed to cater to the needs of children, young people and families. They are positive, homely and comfortable and provide a tranquil haven where families can focus on being just that – a family.

The funds that you raise will go directly to your local children’s hospice. You will be directly impacting the lives of seriously ill children in your community.
