Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

My cousin Alison Hughes has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. She is currently under-going treatment in Jimmy's Hospital, Leeds.. Alison has approached the situation with so much grace and elegance, she is being incredibly strong and is an inspiration to us all..

Her friends, family and 'Gecko Ladies' at work have all been doing their bit to raise funds and awareness of this dreadful disease.

The Gecko girls started with the 'Race for Life' and now i am heading back to the UK in September to run the 'Bupa Great North Run'...

We want to help as many as we possibly can to fight and beat this disease, so we ask that you be as generous as you possibly can and keep an eye out as to what we are doing next!

So my gruelling 9 week training in 42'C heat begins..

Hope to see you at the finishing line on the 16th September..

Thank you for your donation..

Angela xx
