A little bit about us - Angela is a Senior Orthoptist and has worked for the NHS for 20 years. Cathy is a Personal Assistant for a New Business Director and has worked for the same company for 19 years.
Both enjoy their work but decided they needed a bit of excitement so agreed to do the parachute jump for The Genesis Appeal as it's a great cause.
The charity was chosen as Cathy’s best friend, Lesley Mercer has terminal breast cancer and has endured chemotherapy for a number of years. Cathy has seen the pain caused by breast cancer to the family and friends around Lesley and would like to raise awareness of the Genesis Appeal by completing the parachute jump and raising as much money for the charity as possible.
Our parachute jump will take place on 18th July 2009 in Whitchurch, Shropshire and we're both really looking forward to it. A bit apprehensive that we're throwing ourselves out of a plane with a "rucksack" attached to our backs but hey - we're only going to do it once!
