finishing at 1.09, 4 minutes more than last week.

Yesterday morning I have done a 10k race Wanted to finish before the hour
but managed it at 1.05. Not bad for the awful weather we had in the morning.
Drenched from top to bottom & my clothes were weight so heavy. One more this weekend
at the Olympic Stadium & on the 20th 15 miles in Epping Forest up & down the hills.
Hello & thanks for visiting my latest Leukaemia Society (UK) fundraising page!
Hooray 2010
challenge THE LONDON MARATHON !
As most of you know, I applied to run the London Marathon thinking I wasn't going to get a place - what happens? I got a place on a ballot!
I have recently lost my cousin to cancer so I'm running this marathon in her memory as she loved London so much.
So far I have raised over £15,000 for Leukaemia Society (UK). I have been doing "small" challenges but nothing to this scale. The same goal applies, namely, to take part in London Marathon to raise funds for Leukaemia Society (UK) for their work to support families affected.
I have given up smoking (hooray - 10 months now!), so the 5th challenge has been achieved. I have recently recovered from a sprained ankle but I didn't give up training & carried on with the challenge.
I am now training hard for the London Marathon, although the weather restricted me a bit in the beginning of the year and, to top it all, I had another injury which put me out of action for a week.
Good news though, I'm back in the running gear again
