Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Oui, c'est moi!! No, Im not mental, just very determined as any Capricorn who sets out to climb a high mountain and gets there in the end! Having taken on this challenge I feel that I am doing something worthwhile for those less fortunate than me, as Medecins du Monde are now also helping the recent cyclone-hit Burmese, alongside the Red Cross, providing much needed medical supplies and staff. Your kind donation will go a long way to help me raise funds for this humanitarian crisis. I started cycling last year at the London Freewheel sponsored by Hovis which has rekindled my love of the sport. I also joined the many cyclists at the Critical Mass demo at South Bank last month and cycled freely along the City streets without having to worry about car drivers pulling out in front of me! I still have a long way to go training for the ride to Paris, but Im working on it. I join my local cycling club on any trips they organise to get my cycling legs in shape.. It aint over till the fat lady sings, as they say!! It will be a summer to remember, riding along to the Arc de Triomphe, then down the Champs Elysees, la plus belle avenue du monde, and to gaze upon the Eiffel Tower dans la citie d'amour! I could get really good at French if I keep this up! I visited Paris a few years ago with a group of friends and thought it would be amazing to visit it again a velo!! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Médecins du Monde UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me, especially my generous friends and daughters, and encouraged me to keep going. Thanks also to all those who have promised to donate, but to all the procrastinators out there, what are you waiting for? So please sponsor me now! Your good deed will go a long way towards helping your fellowman in other parts of the world and as they say in Swahili, Asante sana, rafiki... thank you very much friend!
Many thanks for your support. Angela
