THE MADONNA FUNDRAISER IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS EVERYONE! This page is to raise in memory of our friend who some of you knew as Ahmed and we knew as Dill. On 7th October 2007 we lost our brilliant friend to diabetes. We miss him every day and life will never be the same without him but we are determined to do something positive in the light of this tragedy. Kate, Gill and Clare knew Dill since school days while Laurie, Kerrina and Sam got to know him since he ditched the afro and the tash! The six of us have taken on the challenge to walk the Inca Trail in Peru As a team we're called Angels Dill-Light and have a fundraising goal to raise £18,000 for Diabetes UK to fund vital research into diabetes in the hope that in the future the friends and family of those with diabetes don't suffer the loss that we have. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has donated so far and everyone who has attended one of our fundraising events. Your support means a huge amount to us and to Diabetes UK. We have more events in pipeline coming up over the summer and will keep you all posted A special thanks to The Anslow Partnership who Ahmed worked for. We know that Ahmed was a very valued member of the team there and so we are delighted that The Anslow Partnership have pledged a fantastic £5,000.
