As most of you will already know unfortunately i did not run the Great North Run as I was admitted to hospital on Friday afternoon with a suspected clot on my lung. I was in hospital for 6 days but am glad to say it was not a clot but was I had inflammation of the heart muscles and am having further tests to find out why and what has caused this. For the short term I will not be running but as soon as I have had the all clear I am hoping to do a 13 mile walk instead. I am so grateful to everyone who sponsored me. The money I have raised is going towards accommodation for our National Brain Injury Rehabilation Unit in memory of my friends little boy called Milo who sadly passed away at the end of last year aged 6. Milo's parents hve been incredible as so far have raised £20,000 for The Children's Trust - their target is £25,000 to fund a room and we are now very confident that this will be raised so thank you so much - I cannot tell you how much it means to us. I am raising money for The Children's Trust and this year the money will help children who have acquired a head injury after a tragic accident or sudden illness.
