Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday 14th September 2008 I will be running the Robin Hood half marathon in memory of my Dad and in support of Treetops Hospice who helped my Dad in the difficult months before he died and supported we his family during this time and for the year after.
You don’t know you need Treetops Hospice until you do. My family and I will be eternally grateful that they were there for all of us.
My Dad was a wonderful sportsman – playing soccer and Gaelic football, hurling, and a winner of many medals for cross country running. With the latter in mind it seems a fitting tribute to do this run in his memory and to help others who may need Treetops Hospice support.
The Hospice needs to raise £2.5 million for a much needed new day care centre.
My Dad may have been a runner, I however am not and I have found preparing for the run a challenge. I am determined to complete it, and I hope you will support me with your sponsorship.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Treetops Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
