Angkor Bike Ride 2012 · 1 December 2012

With first hand experience volunteering in Cambodia the founding trustees set up HOPE to give the underprivileged children and young adults in Cambodia a chance to have a childhood and/or permanently improve their lives. HOPE intends to seek and support existing programs in Cambodia assisting young people with their education and social development where there is a need for further funding to expand either the variety of their activities (eg. provision of English classes or computer classes) or increase the number of young people they can support, where we strongly believe it will make a permanent difference/improvement to the young people in the programs, and where we can monitor the progress and results of the program. Story

Christmas displays and decorations have had a prominent place in UK stores since October and whilst many people in western countries will be facing the thought of only a few Saturdays left for christmas shopping when we turn the calendars to December, a number of eager and enthusiastic cyclists are contemplating another cycle challenge around the majestic Angkor temples in Cambodia.

Harnessing Oodlesofdosh through Pedalling and Exhaustion

Angkor Wat and the temples of Angkor provide a truly spectacular back-drop for an awesome cycle ride, and, hopefully we'll be 'harnessing oodlesofdosh through pedalling and exhaustion.'

In addition to Natasha, Dayvy and chief executive training officer, Samnieng, the enthusiastic group of young adults will be accompanied by Gard Bruno who has come all the way from Norway and will swap his Ducati with a push bike for the occasion, and Kristin who admits that there are actually things she likes more than cycling...

If you would like to support the team of young adults in their challenge to raise funds for themselves, but can't make it to Cambodia and want to put some muscle behind your fundraising efforts elsewhere - do let us know. Whether it's at your local gym, in a training room offshore or braving the snow-covered streets of Northern Europe - it's all much appreciated.
