Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

About me........My name is Angus Cameron, I am a Naval Warrant Officers and live on the south coast.  About 12 months ago I first started running Triathlons at the ripe old age of 37, I have now created a 2 year training plan to get me from sprint distance triathlons to my ambitions of completing a full IRONMAN event, which I plan to do in Aug 2009.  An Ironman involves a 3.8KM Swim, 180KM Bike then a 40KM run, this is all done back to back in one day and I would be looking to complete this event within 13 and a half hours.

2007 will see me take part in approx  10 Triathlons (so far its four Triathlons and 1 Duathlon down) with the London Olympic distance event on the 5th of August being my main Event of the year (This will be my first Olympic distance).  It is now 8th Aug 2007 and London is past and I completed the event in a time of 2hrs 32mins 20secs.  Check out this webpage to see me crossing the finish line at London - http://londontri2007.sportcamvideo.net/ you will have to enter my race number which was 5132. My next race is planned for 26th Aug Southampton Fast Twitch Triathlon, the first ever event I entered back in Aug 2006.  The full list of remaining events for 2007 can be found at http://anguscameron1.blogspot.com/

The plan for 2008 it to complete 3 Olympic distance TRI's, at least one IRONMAN 70.3 (Half IRONMAN) and a couple of half and full marathons.

This is all leading to the ultimate goal of a FULL IRONMAN in 2009 when I will be forty years old. If you want to keep track of how my training is going then please view my blog @ http://anguscameron1.blogspot.com/ which will then allow you access to my full training program on my Triblog which is @ http://www.triblogs.com to sign in click on logon and enter Anguscameron and the password is vanessa1. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER/EDIT OR DELETE ANYTHING ON THIS SITE AS THIS WILL GIVE YOU FULL ACCESS TO MY TRAINING PLAN.

So why am I doing this for The MS Society, in approx 1995 my older sister Yvonne was diagnosed with MS and for the last 12 years I have had to watch her life totally transform from one full of promise and happiness to being totally reliant on others for her 24/7 care.  Yvonne, now 43, is in a care home in Aberdeenshire and even with the fantastic staff and family support her quality of life is non-existant.  So I want to do what I can to raise money and awareness for the MS Society.

Once again many thanks for your support and if you see me out training in the Hampshire, Portsmouth or Lee onSolent area (I will be wearing my bright orange MS running vest) please beep your horn.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: MS Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
