All of these students have had difficult upbringings and this plays a major role in their educational lives.</span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: black; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">One way I feel we can engage these students is to take them to <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Jamie’s Farm.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></em>This is an educational intervention, set up by a former Teach First participant Jamie Fielden, which engages young people who are at risk of social or educational exclusion. Normally in groups of 10 students and 3 teachers, the young people spend a week engaging in farm work and a family atmosphere that includes cooking and eating together. Students will also be offered the chance to have some therapy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This would be something completely new for these students and chance to engage them on a level completely separate from school life.</span></span></span></p>
