Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Earlier this year, my friend Becky was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Rebecca Bennyworth will be very well know to accountants across the UK, especially those working in tax.
I am 'walking the walk' this year for her and the thousands of other women who are also waiting for better treatments to be developed for their particular variety of this illness. She is as positive about cancer as she is about tax. Walk the walk is a breast cancer charity and the walk is a marathon with the nasty twist of beginning at midnight.
Let us give a little back for her this year. If everyone who has asked her a tax question throws a donation at this, we will have done a great deal of good. Thank you.
Saturday 8 May update. I have just doubled the target to £2,000. I wasn't sure what gets tax people giving most, a larger target or to have beaten the first one within a week. But here goes....
Monday 17 May update. Well, I did it. 7 hours and 15 minutes with only a few blisters and residual exhaustion today. Without the knowledge that I had received so much support, I may well have given up at 3am and 16 miles and taken a taxi home. But I didn't, so thank you all again.
