Story

My son was diagnosed with leukemia last year at the age of nine totally out of the blue. Ryder was a fit and healthy young boy enjoying life and sports but after complaing about his vision and taking him to hospital we were told that he was suffering from this disease.

As Parents we have been catapulted into a world of hospital visits procedures treatments and medcine... a scarey place to be when all you want to do is protect your child. Thankfully we are so lucky to be under the watchful eye of Sheffield Childrens Hospital a centre of excellence for treating children with leukemia

We are now in a position when our son's care is out of our control and our trust and faith is with the wonderful amazing team of staff and support at the Hospital. As a family we are debted to the passion and dedication of every single one of them and the care, support and help they are providing.

We visit the hospital now at least twice a week and see all the children fighting both cancer and leukemia...they are so brave wondrful young angels that should not be in this position.

To try and help all the young children battling cancer on ward M3 and the suporting clinics and to help raise funds for the hospital I am going to shave all my hair off...after all if they can lose their's and still have the courage to fight the disease it is a small price for me to pay.

Please take time to read this post and give all you can no matter how small...these children need our help

Thankyou
