VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Voluntary Service Overseas gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! I am thrilled to have been accepted into the VSO program in 2009. This means that I will be able to share my skills and assist in any way that I can to help a community make a meaningful living for themselves.

Since setting up this page I have confirmation of my placement and will be spending my two years in Hanoi, Vietnam at the Hold the Future Centre starting September 6, 2009. This Centre aims to provide vocational training and provide employment opportunities for youth with disabilities.

Fundraising is expected of all VSO volunteers to assist with the funding of the VSO work.

Thank you for your support! A special thank you to Sarah Bourke who donated $50. What a great way to kick-start my fund-raising. Am I thankful or what!!! WOW!.

Thank you Andrew at GreatManagement for your contribution. That's pushed the amount to 10% of target already. I am thrilled to bits. Thank you to Tanya for her contribution. That's almost 12% towards target. That's so encouraging. Thank you!

15 Jan 09: The amount raised is close to hitting 20%. How great is that! Thanks to Dylan who now lives in snowy New York for a hugely appreciated contribution. And thank you to Simon for his. Simon knows all about fundraising having cycled to Paris from the UK to raise funds for a worthy cause.

17 Jan 09: It's especially precious when family supports you in reaching for a dream. A huge thank you to my South African family Ans and Tierie who dug deep into their pockets to send a wonderful gift to VSO for me. Words can't express my gratitude.

16 Aug 09: Looking forward to picking up the fundraising effort again and truly appreciate any contributions.
