Anna and Stu's Land's End to John O'Groats adventure · 22 May 2010

The Daniel Courtney Trust aims to raise money to fund research into Microvillous Atrophy - a devastating condition of the bowel. It also aims to provide equipment and facilities for Great Ormond Street Hospital, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Edward House. Finally it aims to increase awareness of organ donation.

<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>** UPDATE 04/03/2011 - for the cyclist called Ian.**</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Stuart Crook contact number 07740 648299&nbsp; /&nbsp; <a href="mailto:stuartcrook@hotmail.com">stuartcrook@hotmail.com</a></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>***********************************************************************</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>What -</strong></span></p> <p>Not content with our (mostly wet and windy) daily cycling commutes we've decided to take a holiday,&nbsp;up the miles and cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats!</p> <p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">When -</span></strong></p> <p>We will&nbsp;catch a&nbsp;train to Penzance on&nbsp;the 22nd&nbsp;May&nbsp;and hopefully return to London&nbsp;having cycled to&nbsp;John O'Groats on June 6th (2010). That&rsquo;s the plan.&hellip; 12 days averaging 80 miles per day, and 1000 miles in total. Ouch!</p> <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>In aid of -</strong></span></p> <p>Making It Better - the Daniel Courtney Trust <a href="http://www.makingitbetter.org.uk/">http://www.makingitbetter.org.uk/</a></p> <p>This charity has close connections to&nbsp;us as it&rsquo;s a charity which&nbsp;raises funds for&nbsp;research and supports children suffering from microvillous atrophy - the subject of&nbsp;Anna's PhD. They also supported&nbsp;her during the final months of research identifying mutations in microvillous&nbsp;atropy&nbsp;sufferers,&nbsp;for which&nbsp;she is&nbsp;extremely grateful.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p> <p>The charity&nbsp;also aim to provide equipment and facilities for Great Ormond Street Hospital, Birmingham Children's hospital, and Edwards House, and to increase awareness of organ donations.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">The boring bit -</span></strong></p> </p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
