London Marathon 2009 – 26 April 2009
After talking about it for a while, I’ve finally taken the plunge and have a place for in the London Marathon this year!
Anything which you can give towards my target of £2,000 would be very much appreciated!
I’m running the London Marathon for Action Against Hunger. It’s a fantastic charity that provides access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger to over 5 million people each year.
Working in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster, and chronic food insecurity, Action Against Hunger help innocent children and civilians all over the world including D.R. Congo, Darfur, Chechnya and Burma.
Your sponsorship can really make a difference:
£1 can help a farmer produce 4kg of rice to feed his family for 4 days.
£18 can buy a basic emergency kit including plastic sheeting, blankets, soap and other items for survivors of natural disasters such as Cyclone Nargis. £27 can buy a survival kit to save the life of a severely malnourished child, including therapeutic milk and nutritional products and medicine. £250 can help provide fluids for 50 children suffering from cholera in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Many thanks for your support!
