Story

Dear All Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am off on another madcap adventure very shortly, possibly my last due to advancing my years. This time it is for a charity very close to Sophie and my hearts. I am off on a bicycle from Cheam School, Newbury to St Tropez, appprox 800 miles in 7 days.

As you may or may not be aware Sophies twin sister Annabel died from Cancer on New years Eve this year. She fought an incredibly brave and silent battle with the cancer, she never complained nor even spoke about it. This meant that she was able to leave her two children, Wilf and Poppy, Tim her husband and indeed all of us, with only the fondest and happy memories of her.

Sophie has spent many months trying to find a worthy cause and has come up trumps with a wonderful lady called Dr Ros Eeles. Dr Ros Eeles is a geneticist who works from The Royal Marsden Hospital. She and her team run a 'carrier' clinic and are studying cancer markers for early detection and prevention in BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 mutation carriers. This study could well save many lives as it will help to try and detect the cancer before it takes hold.

I know that times are tough but any donation would be really appreciated. Many thanks for your help Simon.
