Ever since joining NCO my life has changed for the better. When I successfully auditioned in 2006/7 I was completely over the moon, I had never imagined myself as a viola player in a proper, professional orchestra. Looking back now I can clearly see how much NCO has helped me with my musical experiences, sight reading and all round ability as it still helps me now. This reminds me about how many children they have encouraged and how much talent they have found. This is all the more reason to donate as the credit crunch is beginning to hit hard.
The money you donate goes towards the NCO courses, rehearsals and music and much, much more considering how many things they do (recreation, venue hire, stands etc etc). It will also help to pay for bursaries which give children who are not in a secure financial position the chance to take part in all the wonderful things that NCO can do for them. £40 will pay for new activity sets to entertain children on a course, £150 covers a day of the employment, accommodation and equipment for a course matron and £500 will fund the hire of sheet music one course.
Without NCO the world would be pretty dull and children's talent would go neglected, we can only hope that with your help we can keep it going for the next 35 years at least.
From my past experience I can truthfully tell you that every minute has been worth while (even the nervous minutes before the first auditions) and that such an organization deserves to be kept up and running for eternity (if that is possible)
