I am running the Bupa 10k in May for the charity Ali's Dream, a charity funding research into childhood brain tumours. A few years ago my 10 year old sister passed away from a rare and aggressive brain tumour called a malignant ependymoma. My family and I watched Carly change from a vibrant and charismatic little girl, into someone who became violently ill and totally dependant on the people around her.

Most people don't believe my family when we tell them that she never cried once through out her illness. The bravery and courage she displayed was enough to make us all humble. She was an inspirational person, and we miss her very much.
