We are doing a 5km walk on Sun 17 May at 11am on Newry towpath to raise funds for Marie Curie. When mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer she wanted to die at home. Marie Curie nurses made this possible, caring for mum with such dignity and compassion as well as supporting us as a family. By raising funds for Marie Curie we hope to enable them to continue this invaluable work. It costs £20 for an hour of Marie Curie nursing and £180 for a night time 9 hour shift. We couldn't have managed without the Marie Curie nurses help, and we hope by fundraising other families will be able to benefit from their support.
