2010 Great North Swim · 4 September 2010 ·

The Ear Trust helps in the diagnosis and management of profoundly deaf babies, children and adults mainly in the North of England. It also supplies information on cochlear implantation for families and professionals, supports regular local and national workshops and aids development of assessment and rehabilitation materials.

Story

I have done it - Windermere waterbaby has become Lady of the Lido!

Thank you all so much for your fantastic support!

URGENT UPDATE

on 2nd Sept because of 'Blue-green Algae' in the water the Windermere swim has been cancelled!

I AM GOING TO DO A 1 MILE OUTDOOR SWIM IN WETSUIT IN THE EVEN COLDER WATER OF ILKLEY LIDO @ 2pm Sat 4th Sept. with independent adjudicators.

Thanks to everyone

I have done some strange fund-raisers in my time for The Ear Trust but this will be a challenge!

The British Gas Great North Swim is on the 4th of September. The course distance is a mile - and they say great fun. Training in the pool is one thing - wearing a wet suit and swimming in the lovely lake of Windermere another.

Please be generous as The Ear Trust needs to continue to develop the excellent facilities that have been built. So many babies, children and adults have benefited from the facilities spurs me on to support them. More info on www.ycis.org.uk and www.eartrust.org.uk
