We inspire young people to believe in a brighter future

Story

Help us to compete the Isle of Wight triathlon and raise funds for the Ellen MacArthur Trust !

Who would believe we would be able to jump in a cold outside pool in the middle of winter to try to finish a 600m ?!? Not mentioning biking under a heavy rain at 7am or running in the snow at night ...And that's only the training bit!

We are the Wight Knights, a group of crazy people preparing the Isle of Wight Triathlon to stay fit, have fun and raise funds for the Ellen MacArthur Trust.

The Ellen MacArthur Trust is doing a fantastic job in taking young people recovering from cancer and leukaemia sailing, to build confidence and friendships after treatment.

All money raised from the West Wight Triathlon will help the Trust take even more young people in recovery from cancer or leukaemia sailing in 2010.

Mother of Daisy, 15, Royal Marsden: "Daisy has been brilliant since returning home from her trip. It was a definite turning point for her. She's totally positive and back to her old self. She has gained confidence and friends as well as finding something she loves doing. This was THE perfect trip for her - she is now so positive about everything."

About the charity

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.
