Child Welfare Scheme - Everest Trek 2008 · 8 November 2008 to 28 November 2008 ·

We create lasting change for children in urban poverty in Nepal. Many face daily neglect, abuse & exploitation — ignored, invisible & without hope. We improve well-being, education & job prospects while protecting them from harm. With our partners we help each child reach their full potential.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This is a new adventure for me - both the trek and the fundraising - and I'm very excited about it. If you follow this link I hope you'll see why: http://www.cwsuk.org

Nepal is a beautiful country, but very small and isolated. Its people are very poor by western standards, but friendly and welcoming. They deserve our help.

So please donate what you can - and remember, this is the sort of thing your money could do:
 - help the people living in remote mountain villages by improving their smokey cooking stoves
 - set up and run medical centres and schools in remote mountain villages
 - establish refuges for abandoned children in the towns
and much much more.

I am paying all the costs of the trip myself, so you won't be subsidising my holiday, you will really be helping the people of Nepal.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: (CWS) Child Welfare Scheme gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
