Story
Thank you for visiting our page in memory of Mum, Anne Holloway, who passed away on 24 January 2008 at St Wilfrid's Hospice, Chichester. Sadly the breast cancer that she thought she had beaten ten years ago returned. Having worked in the NHS all her life Mum recognised the invaluable work of the hospice and wanted to help raise money to repay in some small way the care she was given.
All funds raised through this site for St Wilfrid's will help a team of people who supported Mum at her time of most need. The care and compassion that they showed her, and those visiting, made a difficult time easier to bear. It is the most amazing place but only 12% of their funding comes from the NHS, the rest is from charitable donations. Donations will be gratefully received in memory of Mum ("Grannie Annie").
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: St Wilfrid's Hospice will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.

Remember me when I am gone away
Christina Rossetti (1830-1894)
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
