Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I have signed up for the Peru Hiking Challenge having successfully completed
the Himalayas challenge in October 2008 for Macmillan Cancer Support and raised £3,388.
This is a wonderful charity and I have seen first hand the support they provide to all in need.
This challenge will be more difficult than the last one as we will be climbing to 4,200 meters above sea level. Working our way through Dead Woman's pass, this is a relentless and steep climb on narrow trails. We will be trekking up to 10 hours a day. The facilities will be basic as we will be rough camping with limited water supplies. The biggest challenge for me will be the altitute
I am still on a training program and with your help together we will raise badly needed funds.
I have paid the trip expenses myself so that all the money raised can go directly to the charity.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Anything you can afford, however small will be greatly appreciated.
