Annes 30 Day Challenge

Anne’s 30 Day Challenge · 21 August 2019
Many of you will know how quickly my life has changed, after being so unwell last year, I was shocked to learn I had breast cancer which had metastasised to other parts of my body.
There is no cure - but in the couple of months prior to my own diagnosis the drug Palbociclib was approved for use on the NHS. It is a targeted drug, which can slow the progression of my type of advanced breast cancer in conjunction with standard treatment. As of September, I'm on my 11th cycle I'm doing ok. When I was diagnosed I never knew what time I had, but this wonderful drug has given me time to be with my precious family and friends. I also have the wonderful team at the Seamoor Unit at NDDH who are always there for me.
Everyone is touched by cancer. We have all lost family and friends. This is why I want to raise funds for The Institute of Cancer Research. This appeal isn't about me - it's about everyone who has or will be diagnosed. I hope you will appeal to your friends and family to help hold an event, or help in any other way you can.
