On Wednesday 24 February I will be a model in the first ever Breast Cancer Care Wales Fashion Show which will also be my first time ever on a catwalk! All of the models who take part in this special event, like me, have experienced a diagnosis of breast cancer and I feel honoured to share the stage with such amazing women. The Show is an amazing occasion of fashion, fundraising and inspiration proving that you can look and feel great after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

The money raised through this event makes a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care and helps them to provide specialist information and support services across the UK to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer. These services are free and benefit over 46,000 people every year, ensuring that they receive the best possible support, treatment and care.

I have personally benefitted enormously from the work of Breast Cancer Care over the past 7 years having had breast cancer diagnosed 3 times. I have attended workshops,day and weekend courses,taken part in telephone support groups and I have been very active on the website and community forum which helps link up other people in a similar position. This has been priceless for me and I regularly meet some women I have met through Breast CancerCare. I have also sadly lost many "cyber friends" to this disease but know how important and how much of lifeline Breast Cancercare is to all touched by breast cancer including family and loved ones.
