For the fourth consecutive year I'll be taking part in the Great North Run and this year I want to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I have a very good friend who lives with this life-threatening condition and I'd like to thank him for being such an inspiration by supporting this incredibly worthwhile cause.

Tim has written a fantastic blog about dealing with CF at that most challenging time of life, becoming a parent.  It will make you smile and make you cry and whether or not you are personally affected by CF, this account of family life while faced with the daily challenges of avoiding bugs, undergoing treatment and administering mountains of medication that is required to keep CF under control is profoundly observant and touching.  Go to Timwotton.wordpress.com to see what I mean.
