Training is right on track and going well. It is the final 6 weeks before the big day and although that may sound like a long time I have to tell you all I am still really nervous.
I run the Silverstone Half Marathon last Sunday and got the time I was hoping for 02:10:52. The best part is that at the end of the Half Marathon I was not absolutely dead on my feet so at least that gives me hope for the big one.
I actually have another half marathon which I am doing in Cape Town on the 11 April. This one is the Two Oceans Half and it is a really beautiful race. It is also up and down mountains so is probably going to be a lot harder than Sundays very flat race.
I will update this page after I have done it and let you all know how it went.
6 weeks and counting! O boy!!!

Hi All,
Thought it was time to give you all a bit of an update. My training is going well but very slowly. As some of you may know I had a little injury which is just now starting to get better. All in all I am a bit frustrated but I am still feeling really positive especially now that I am back on track.
That said the big day is looking very scary this side of Christmas! So to ease the panic a bit I am thinking just about the Silverstone Half Marathon on the 15 March. This is my big warm up before the marathon.
I would like to also say thank you to everyone who has sponsored me already and a really big thank you to Western Oriental and all you guys who bought raffle tickets. The money raised has really pushed up my total and I know the Garwood Foundation are going to be very happy to receive the funds. Please keep the donations coming.
Thanks
Annick
Running 26.2 Miles (yes, I know! What am I thinking?)
Well anyway, no matter how I look at this, it is going to hurt. It is going to take motivation and lots of hard work. Knowing at the end I have done it not just for myself but to benefit the Garwood Foundation will be the best achievement of all.
The Charity that I am running for is a small organisation that has a really big impact on the lives of the people they help. You are unlikely to have heard of them before but with your help I am hoping that I can help raise awareness and much needed funds for this amazing organisation.
I will put up regular updates on this page to keep you all up to date with how my training is going. I have two targets to reach, my fundraising target and the finish line at the end of the 26.2 miles. Both are important to me so please support me any way you can.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Garwood Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you
Annick
