In memory of Annie Hallam

We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.

Story

You will know that Annie died on Thursday 16th July 2009 after 4 and a half years of fighting bowel cancer and secondaries - 4 years longer than the normal life expectancy for that disease. This was thanks to the treatments and excellent care she received at the Bupa/Spire Hospital at Gartree Road in Oadby and her own determination. That is why the family have chosen the Hope Foundation as her charity.

It is now nearing the end of September and donations made via the undertakers, Adkinsons of Oadby, have totalled more than £2000 so the total donated to date, including gift aid, exceeds £6500. Many thanks!
