I've been accepted by VSO as a volunteer to go to Nepal for a year or maybe two, starting in August. My role will be to work with a group of primary schools and their communities to encourage girls to attend school. This will involve working with the teachers to make lessons more girl friendly and setting up a mentoring scheme where older girls help the younger ones.  Also involved will be organising sports for girls, something I feel strongly about. 

I need to raise the money, not to pay my expenses, but to enable VSO to continue their valuable work overseas.  

I shall be organising a variety of small events such as film nights, cake sales, car boot stalls, a plant sale and a quiz night during the next 3 months.  Please support my efforts.
