Story

Having completed a successful Bupa 10K run earlier this year, while looking for the next challenge Alex came up with the crazy idea of doing the 3 Peaks Challenge - the big one, Snowdon etc.

Having climbed Snowdon on my Birthday this year I thought it would be a good idea to work our way up to that challenge instead of diving in feet first so to speak, and so it is we find ourselves doing our next mad caper over the Chiltern hills, taking part in the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge.

There are three route lengths teams can undertake as part of this challenge - 5, 9 or 18 miles - of which we will be attempting the 18 mile route; in for a penny, in for a pound and all that!

This event is organised by the Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care. They offer specialist hospice care at home or in their day hospice for patients with a life-limiting illness in the Chilterns area of Bucks and the Dacorum, St Albans and Harpenden districts of Herts. Their services include 24/7 call-out hospice care in patients homes and support for all the family following diagnosis, during the illness and after bereavement, tailoring care to patient's needs, whether that is end of life care or support through treatment and into remission.

So please, dig deep and help us beat our target to help a very worthy cause!
