Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On Sunday 2nd November I shall be running the New York Marathon for the first time and raising  money for the Samaritans.

The Samaritans, founded by the late Chad Varah in 1954, are one of those largely unsung charities which do fantastic work helping people in despair. They provide free confidential support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, including those which could lead to suicide.  Services are offered by telephone, email, letter and face to face throughout the UK and Ireland.

Any contribution, however small, towards this fund-raising effort will be greatly appreciated. I have set myself a target of £4,000.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritans gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks for your donation,

Anthony
