<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>This is the ApelElain fundraising page for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Elain James was antenatally diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Following a short period of stability at home Elain's condition suddenly deteriorated in June 2010 and before we knew it Elain was undergoing her first heart surgery at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Complications following surgery meant that Elain was a patient on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for just over 10 weeks.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>The staff on PICU at Bristol Children's Hospital are second to none. Their dedication, attention to detail and professionalism saved our baby daughter's life on several occassions. </strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>For now Elain is home and stable&nbsp;but&nbsp;will need&nbsp;more surgery in the near future. We therefore&nbsp;know it won't be long before we will be visiting the ward again.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>The money raised for the Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal through ApelElain will be going directly to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
