Story
TREES FOR CITIES
In addition to my other activities, I am a Tree Warden for both Kensington & Chelsea and Wandsworth, and have contributed locally to the Environment Strategies of both boroughs and also at a European Union strategic level.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page forTrees for Cities which is a charity that needs increased exposure as well as funding.
Please feel free to donate online now as, unfortunately, you've now missed your chances this year to become Tree-athletes.
Still, there is always next year and there are many trees waiting to be planted ...
Where is Trees for Cities active?
Currently they are working in the following cities: London; Manchester; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Nairobi, Kenya; Madrid, Spain and Bucharest, Romania
| £100 - | plant four magnificent oak trees in London |
| £150 - | plant a group of shade trees in a school in Nairobi |
| £250 - | help create a community orchard of fruiting trees in Addis Ababa |
| £400 - | help Bucharest, the most toxic capital in Eastern Europe, by reforesting its rapidly diminishing green belt with a mixture of Beech, Lime and Maple trees |
| £500 - | help transform areas of wasteland into woodland - plant 200 native trees on the urban fringe in Madrid |
| £1,000 - | create a woodland of 450 native trees the UK including Oak, Beech, Ash, Birch, Maple and Lime |
| £1,500 - | teach children in Nairobi about trees by funding a school tree nursery |
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us:
Trees for Cities will receive your money faster and,
if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you from the Inland Revenue.
In any case, thank you for reading this and extending AWARENESS of the project.
Many thanks for your support and time
Richard
