Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking part in this year's Atlantic Rally for Cruisers to raise money for Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Sick Children.  It's a 'friendly' yacht race across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to St Lucia - approximately 3,000 miles, non stop.  The starting gun goes off on Sunday 23rd November and it's likely to take between 2 to 3 weeks depending on weather conditions.

The Royal Hospital for Sick Children (aka The Sick Kids) does an amazing job of caring for children with a wide range of illnesses and injuries, helping more than 34,000 children every year.  I've set my fund raising target at £3,000 (only a pound a mile!) but obviously I'd love to smash this completely.

I am funding the trip my self - all money raised through this page will be going directly to Sick Kids. If you can afford to give anything at all please do - every penny will make a difference to a child who needs help.

If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will add 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% bonus to your donation.

Thank you!

*** UPDATE ***   We completed the race in 18 days, winning our class and coming 2nd overall.  A big thank you to everyone for your support!
