Story

I just want to thank everyone for all their donations and messages of support. We raised more money than I ever dreamt. Thank you also to the individuals who sent cheques -they have been forwarded to H4H directly.

I have just added a photo of dad and I at the top.

It was an incredible journey and an amazing feeling standing at the top of Africa.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Dad and I are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. It will be the first big adventure we have experienced together. Only 45% of people make it to the top as many get stopped by altitude sickness. I have done lots of training walks along the coast paths of Devon and my boots are well worn in. I am a bit concerned that my Dad will slow me down!!

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world. Standing at 5895m or 19341feet, Mount Kilimanjaro makes up one of the "Seven Summits" highest mountains on each of the seven continents.

On the final stages of the climb the temperature will be -10 and possibly snowing..

I hope to raise money for Help for Heroes as I believe they really make a difference to soldiers that have terrible injuries from war.

Thank you.

Archie
