Arch is a charity in North Staffordshire which provides accommodation, services and support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The organisation helps around 2,000 people each year from Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the Staffordshire Moorlands, including single people, families, women and children.
Arch aims to support anyone in our area who is disadvantaged and needs extra help. Some of the things they do are…
- Give vulnerable people somewhere to stay while supporting them to develop essential life skills before moving on to their own home
- Work together with our clients to keep their homes or move to somewhere more suitable
- Help people to develop new skills and become more confident, so they can get into further training or find a job
- Support women affected by domestic violence through group or one-to-one sessions, or provide them and their children with refuge accommodation
On Friday 30th January, I'm going to "sleep rough" for one night to raise money for Arch. More details and pictures from the night will follow - look out for the snow.
