Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Between 25th January and the 2nd February 2010 I will attempt a 200km dog sled, through the wilds of the Arctic Circle. The expedition will cross forested areas, steep inclines and open planes. The sledding element will be carried out in an area where temperatures can reach as low as minus 30c, and blizzards are common. The participants will accept personal risk, including frost bite, hypothermia, falling and dehydration (although, there must be a mobile beer seller out there, surely?...)
Unfortunately, the daily activety does not just involve sitting on the sled looking at the scenery, as the participants will be expected to dismount and run alongside the sled during the steep incline sections, and will also have responsibility for looking after their team of dogs during the full course of the event.
All funds raised will go directly to Latch (the childrens cancer charity at the Childrens Hospital for Wales), and will not be used toward the cost of the expedition. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
