For those who know me well it probably won't surprise you that I'm trying something new and exploring a new corner of this crazy world however this is a massive challenge for me all the same. On 3rd August 2018, I will be trekking 100km across the Arctic Circle in Greenland alongside 99 of my HSBC colleagues from all across the world to raise money for WaterAid. I'll have no access to my usual luxuries, no shower, a proper bed or normal toilet. In addition, I will be carrying all of my personal belongings and camping equipment over the 5 days we have to complete the trek. With an average of 22 hours of daylight per day at least my chances look promising :-)
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. But all over the world, communities are living without these essential human rights, leaving their lives at risk and their potential untapped. 844 million people don’t have clean water.
So please dig deep to help this great cause and challenge me to go through the ultimate test of mental and physical ability.
