The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, is the only UK charity funding research specifically into cancers affecting the 13-24 age group, Laura's trust also funds measures to improve the quality of life for these young cancer patients, during their frequent and often debilitating stays in hospital.

Hi Everyone

You may already know me but just in case you don’t I am Claire Cunnington and I am a member of National Association of Ladies Circle in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

This year is a very special year for me as I have the honour of being the Chairman for my Area of Ladies Circle - Area 3. I would like to make it a very special year for my chosen Charity the Laura Crane Trust.

Catherine Tate of TV Fame is a Patron of The Laura Crane Trust and in the words of one of her characters “am I bovered”! I am pleased to say that I and 40 of my friends from across the Area are “very bovered”.

Ladies from Batley, Brighouse, Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Holme Valley, Huddersfield Pendragon, Rothwell and Sitlington, are already pounding the hills in preparation (or at least thinking about) so that they can join me in my challenge to conquer the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Saturday 5th April 2008! In brief this involves climbing Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in 12 hours – 24.2 miles with climbs to the dizzy heights of 2000ft in amongst!

Everyone taking part is donating £25 as an entry fee and giving so much time and energy to make a difference. Please donate to this challenge today and make a difference too! It will also help keep us going when our legs give in!

Every £1 you give will go directly to the Laura Crane Trust.
