Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. For those that don't know about the Highland Cross check out their website here: http://www.highlandcross.co.uk/
A quick read ought to confirm the madness required for this event so please dig deep and sponsor us online to make it all worthwhile.

After last years successful team 'Return of The Pink Panters' completed the event there was much debating about whether or not Norna and her daughter Sara should let themselves be talked into one more go. Sara's brother Martin was biting at the bit to have a shot so it only seemed fair to form a team again - if only so we could get to hear him say "are we nearly there yet Mum?" as he trudges up the last stretch of the yellow brick road towards the bike change over!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Highland Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now.

Many thanks for your support and keep up with the family team by checking out our blog - are we nearly there yet mum - where we will be recording our training (aka moaning about sore legs!)

Cheers!
