The Ayrshire Hospice - Kilimanjaro Trek 2010 · 19 March 2010 ·

We provide expert care and support for people across Ayrshire living with life-shortening illness, and those closest to them. Our aim is to help people live well, with comfort, dignity and choice. Every person and moment matters - and with our community’s support, we’re here when it matters most.

Story

Hello again .. !!!

Well after my trek earlier this year on the Great Wall of China, I've now been persuaded to climb the highest peak in Africa to help raise funds for the Ayrshire Hospice.

Having followed the celebrity trek for Comic Relief earlier this year, I know that this is a difficult challenge and although the Great Wall trek was difficult in places, the Kili climb is a definite step up. However, most of you will now know that my Mum sadly passed away in the Ayrshire Hospice in August 2008 after suffering for over 2 years with Motor Neurone Disease, so I have a very personal reason for doing this.

All donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and if you are a UK tax payer, Gift Aid will be added to your donation. So please give what you can.

Many many thanks (again)

Al
