Story

Welcome to my Virgin London Marathon 2010 Fund Raising Page.

On 25th April 2010, I will be running the Virgin London Marathon for the first time. My reason for running is simple; to raise as much money for Livability, with the intention for the funds raised to go to the Sparkle Appeal.

The Sparkle Appeal has been set up with the intention to riase £5 million in the next 3-5 years to build a hydrotherapy pool and therapy centre at the Victoria Education College, in Poole, Dorset.

I selected Livability and 'The Sparkle Appeal' as my charity for VLM 2010, due to one very special young man called Greg Love. Greg is one of my best friends cousins, and suffers from serious brain injuries and relies on the care and equipment available atnVictoria Education Sports College, (a division of Livability)for disabled children.

Unable to communicate and in need of 24 hour care, Greg and other children require the assistance of others to get by. There are numerous pieces of equipment used and needed, not just for Greg, but for all the students whom have varying needs and disability.

The Sparkle Appeal will provide Hydrotherapy treatment to disabled children of all ages, it is a proven method of treatment to relax, stretch and stimulate as well as restoring posture and balance.

With your support Livability will be able to continue providing such valued services to the residents of Victoria College and other centres for which they provide support; making life for people with disabilities more comfortable and more enjoyable.

Your donations can and WILL make the difference for me, Greg and thousands of other disabled people and their families around the .

From me a very warm thank you! : - )
